2° place in tie – Femfestival 2022
The composition “Heterophony” – for soprano, flute, violin and cello – is based upon the poem of Pnina Avni.
“Heterophony” strives to reflect different forms of dialogue between couples, and as if outlining the text in sound, alternately tangible and abstract.
The choice of melodic instruments only is intentional, in relation to the text and the alone-together relationships that arise in it. The horizontal lines alternately use a polyphonic-imitative and heterophonic texture, and sometimes – in moments of dissolution of the independent self-boundaries – accumulate and merge into vertical harmonic sounds.
